“Given the risk of serious outcomes from COVID-19 for these individuals, we expect there will be enormous demand for immunization. We have increased staffing for Health Link to make sure that any senior who wants an appointment can get an appointment as quickly as possible.”
“With the doses we’re anticipating receiving, all Alberta seniors who want vaccine will be able to get their first dose before the end of March. It may just take a little bit of time to get your appointment because availability depends on the timing of the supply we receive in the province.”
Appointments can be booked by calling Health Link at 811 or through the COVID-19 Vaccine Booking website, which will become available at 8:00 am on Wednesday, February 24.
Family members are able to book on their behalf.
Those with appointments will need to bring a government-issued ID and their Alberta Health Care card.
Those requiring transportation can call 211.
More details on how to book a COVID-19 vaccination appointment can be found here.
