Parks Day
Join us for Parks Day on Saturday, July 15 for our national celebration of parks across Canada and to celebrate Alberta Parks 85th Anniversary! There'll be loads of activities for the whole family. Stay tuned for a full schedule of events and times. Here's a sneak peak of some of what's planned.
Parks Day BBQ & Cake: Park staff and volunteers will be serving hotdogs, juice and cake at the Learning Centre!
Interpretive Programs: In celebration of Parks Day, all regularly scheduled interpretive programming (various locations and times) is free. Check with the Visitor Centre for a full schedule and to register.
The Elkwater Community Association is hosting events too!
Craft Market: Check out the awesome vendors offering a wide selection of gifts and merchandise at Elkwater Community Hall. A concession is available.
BBQ for $5: At Elkwater Community Hall
BINGO: Doors open at 7:00 pm and games start at 7:30 pm at Elkwater Community Hall.
Fireworks: The final celebration for Parks Day! Fireworks put on by the Elkwater Community Association along the south shore of Elkwater Lake, starting at 10:15 pm.
