Music is just one way we connect, and in this case, Thanks to a new music video by Bugzy Malone, one mother has finally been reunited with her son who had been reported as missing for the past year.
Initially the music video for “Run” had been shot using paid extras, but Bugzy Malone decided to scrap that idea. Instead, he went out into the streets of Manchester and asked countless homeless people to appear in the video. Those who agreed to be part of it received cash to help them out. During an interview he talked about how his management team received a message shortly after he released the video, from a woman that managed to recognize one of the homeless people that appeared in the music video.
The homeless man in question later ended up at a hospital. Just four months later, according to the rapper himself, the man from the music video has started getting his life back on track. Malone says that the man is now back at home, he has a job as well as a girlfriend.
3 inmates in North Carolina are being recognized for helping out a warden while out doing community work.
Roy Smith, Rosendo Morales-Sanchez and Franklin Edens Jr were picking up trash along a road when their supervisor, James Smith, collapsed. Edens realized the warden was suffering a medical emergency and the 3 inmates banded together to get a hold of emergency officials and keep the warden calm during the incident. Rather than attempting to escape.
One of the inmates said “If that was my father laying beside the road, I would want somebody to help him instead of running off.”
The Bladen County Sheriff’s office has honoured the 3 inmates and said that the warden had suffered a stroke but is recovering well.
