It’s an idea with good intentions but probably could have done with a little more thinking. Remind you of anything?
This is Tide’s new packaging which it plans to launch to the consumer market. The detergent will come in a cardboard box with twist to open spout. The new packaging is intended to be more environmentally friendly but reducing the impacts on shipping and plastic production.
While it’s a great idea to do anything to help the environment do they not remember a certain social media challenge involving their other products because we sure do. We are not the only ones either. Many people have been pointing out the striking resemblance to boxed wine right down to the spout.
When asked about the potential issues with their new packaging parent company Procter & Gamble said:
“We all know laundry detergent is for cleaning clothes. To be sure people know this is detergent, we put a large picture of our Tide bottle on the side of the box. Whether your Tide comes in a box or a bottle, it should be stored up and away, out of the reach of children.”
There was a picture of Tide on their pods but that didn’t seem to stop people deciding to find out if it cleaned clothes but was also delicious.
