How cool is that, that Westjet is going to be getting three new Dreamliners! We all know what those are, right?
Guts: If you’re not familiar, the Boeing 787 (sometimes called the Dreamliner) is the next generation of passenger aircraft. They’re bigger, they’re longer, and because they use way less fuel than the previous generation of aircraft, they can fly much longer. In some cases up to 19 straight hours in the air. They’re incredible. And with Westjet ordering three of them, this now gives them a chance to add international destinations direct from Calgary which will be Dublin & Paris, and soon to be announced, routes to Latin America (ie possibly Rio?). While seating configurations on the 787 haven’t been announced… is it safe to say, the way Westjet configures their planes… everyone in Alberta will have a spot on most flights (tongue in cheek, of course)!
Question: What’s your favourite part of flying?
