A woman named Courtney was eating at an Olive garden with her father, stepmother and toddler when she was struck by kindness from a waitress after her youngster started getting fussy.
The waitress, Nianni Rudder, walked over to their table with a bowl of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. As the toddler finally ate her dinner, Nianni spoon fed her the ice cream while chit chatting with the family, even wiping the little one’s mouth when needed.
Mom Courtney was sooo happy and appreciated of the time that Nianni took to care for her child she made a Facebook post in thanks.
This actually reminds me of a story my mom told me. When I was a baby my mom was travelling alone on BC ferries – I grew up on Vancouver Island- it was just her and myself in the stroller.
Well my mom decided to go to the buffet for dinner. She pushed me along as she plated up but when she got to the coffee bar she stopped because her hands were full, she had a plate and had to push the stroller so she opted not to get coffee.
A few minutes later as she was sitting with her dinner and woman came up to her with a cup of coffee and milk and sugar on the side. She told me mom ‘I saw you hesitating at the coffee bar so I thought I would bring it to you cause your hands seem a little full’.
That was some 25 years ago and my mom still remembers it to this day!
